AND THE RACE IS ON!

Yes, the Race is on!!!  Snow conditions are fair to good out on the course.  While snow conditions will not allow us to start from Main Street Ashton, we will be starting from th "Y" which is about three blocks north of Main.  Watch for and follow the signs!

Mushers:

Vet checks and  Race Registration start at 2:00 PM at the Ashton Community Center.

Spectators: 

Thursday:

Attend the dinner to welcome the mushers at 6:00 PM at the Ashton Community Center.  Enjoy a Pork Roast Dinner and meet the mushers.  Adults $9/plate and Children $4/plate.

Friday:

• Races start at 8:30 AM.  Teams will be starting one at a time, every two minutes, this stretches out the start time, so even if you're late, you'll see plenty of action.


• Celebrity Race is at high noon.  This year the principles of  North and South Fremont high schools will be competing against each other.  Several other suprise head to head competitions will take place.


• Soup Challenge starting at 5:00PM at the Ashton Community Center.   Ten chefs have entered!  For $2 entry fee, taste all the soups and cast your ballot for the winner!

Saturday:

• Races start at 8:30 AM.


• Kids Snowshoe Race at 11:00 AM


• Skijoring race starts at 11:00AM


• Mutt Race at 11:30AM


• Weight Pull at 1:00 PM


• Awards Ceremony on Main Street about 1 hour after the last racer has finished.  We estimate between 3:30 and 4:30 PM
