Mmmm! It's Soooo Good! Soup Challenge!

Mmmm! It’s Sooo Good!  Soup Challenge!   1st Place takes home $75!  Spectator – Tasters help pick the winners!

Think your homemade soup or chili recipe is the best?  We challenge you to prove it!  You could win up to $75 in the Soup Challenge at the American Dog Derby. The Challenge is sponsored by the Ashton Chamber of Commerce and will be held on Friday Evening, February 17th at the Ashton Community Center at 5:00 PM.  Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places; $75, $50, and $25 respectively.

How do you enter?  Contact Chamber Representative Sara Etheridge – (208) 652-0134 or Rachel Hatton – (208) 652-0134 to get all the details.  Here’re the bare bones!

  • Contestants need to recruit an Ashton Business sponsor, only their name for your table is required.  So you’ll have to talk with the business to get their “support”.

  •  Check with the Chamber (Sara Etheridge @ 652-0134) to find out which businesses are eligible and haven’t sponsored a contestant yet!

  • Get your entry form at the Ashton City Hall, 714 N. Main ST. 652-3987.  Entry fee is $5.

  • The Contest will be Friday, February 17 starting at 5:00 PM at the Ashton Community Center.

Rather eat than cook?  What could be better than having someone cook for you?  Bring your family and appetites on Friday night!  Help the Chamber pick the winners!  For $2/person, taste all the soup dishes; find your favorite and cast your vote.  Tasting begins after 5 PM.  Proceeds from Tasters support the American Dog Derby thanks to the generosity of the Ashton Chamber of Commerce.
